On our way to Wisconsin today, we stopped in Dubuque to stretch our legs. The Mines of Spain Recreation Area turned out to be a great stop. We parked near the Julien Dubuque Monument and then hiked the Catfish Trail. There's a great view of the Mississippi River from the monument.
