We ate lunch at City Park today, which my kids enjoyed because there's two playground areas. Afterwards, we walked to the water where we boarded Lady of the Lake, a paddle wheel boat docked at the seawall which you can see in the photo below.
There are many picnic tables and shady areas throughout the park. All four sides of the park have street parking available, except during special events. There are restrooms located on either side of the bandshell in the park. City Beach and the splash pad are just a short walk from the park but were very busy during our visit.
