Waubonsie State Park in the Loess Hills has wonderful panoramic views on the loess bluff ridge line. We hiked the Ridge Trail, which I definitely recommend.
There's a small playground near the campground and restrooms.
Waubonsie State Park is in the southwest corner of Iowa just 15 minutes from Nebraska City.
