I highly recommend visiting
Malanaphy Springs in Decorah. The trailhead & parking area is labeled as Upper Iowa River Access Area in
Google Maps. The trail is about 1 mile each way. Our hike totaled 2.4 miles because we explored the area at the top and bottom of the waterfall. The bottom definitely has the best view of the waterfall. It's worth going all the way down to the Upper Iowa River to see it. We were able to navigate without getting wet, but in warmer weather water shoes would be helpful.
