The prairie maze at Red Feather Prairie is fun to do each year. The maze is available from early September to late October. There are two parking areas and this year the maze begins near the parking area that's closest to to the lake. Once you spot the scarecrow, look for the Welcome sign and open the container to find the crossword puzzle sheets.
If that container is empty, there's another Welcome sign a little further down the paved trail next to the bike shelter. Don't forget a pen, and a clipboard is handy to bring too. We found the paths to be very scratchy on bare legs, so I recommend wearing pants. There are restrooms along the paved path that connects to the two parking areas.
