We really enjoyed hiking at Don Williams Recreation Area this morning. Today's hike was 3.1 miles on the southwest side of the lake, which includes elevation changes, a playground, pretty views of the lake and a bird blind.
There are two hiking trails on the west side of the lake, with a parking area in between. However the road to that area is closed in the winter, so we parked on the south side of the lake and the trailhead was easy to find. There are no restrooms on the west side of the lake.
