Lakeview Recreation Area at Saylorville Lake in Johnston has a very long, very fast sledding hill. I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids, but it's a great way to tire out older kids because parking is at the bottom of the hill and it's quite a trek to the top. Keep an eye on the Saylorville Lake Facebook page if you go soon after a snowfall because there are often temporary closures.
