We really enjoyed our hike today at Elk Rock State Park, which included a long walk along the shore of Lake Red Rock. Our total hike was 2.7 miles and you can see the route on the map below. We parked at the equestrian campground which connects to the North Loop trail.
There are currenly Trails Closed signs at all the trailheads, however the website specifies that they're only closed to biking and equestrian traffic. When hiking the North Loop, look for a No Horses Allowed sign to find the trail that leads down to the water. At the end of our shoreline walk were giant rocks which my kids absolutely loved climbing.
