Gene Leahy Mall has a new playground that opened in July 2022. Arches Playground has three tall climbing arches, slides and toddler swings. The playground is fenced with only one entrance. Within the playground area are picnic tables and access to family restrooms (open year-round). Just a short walk away there are additional slides.
We visited on a Saturday and easily found street parking nearby ($1.25/hour). There are several restaurants within walking distance. We went to Spaghetti Works, which my kids liked. In the past, we've eaten at Upstream Brewing Company, which is kid-friendly and has great food. We also walked to Hollywood Candy, while we were in the area. They have a pinball machines and an amazing selection of candy, but no matter what season we visit it's always very hot and crowded in there.
