WAUKEE: Waukee Public Library

 

When visiting the Waukee Public Library, the first thing you notice is the large American Gothic Sculpture which was installed in 2015.

Upon entering, you'll find a small coal mining museum on the left and as you continue down the hall, you'll find a small art gallery.  The museum opened in November 2013 and features coal mine tools, artifacts and touch screen videos.

In the main entryway are used books for sale.  From there, turn right to find the children's play area.  The area includes a play store, Lego Duplo table, separate area for babies and a touchscreen game table.
