We checked out the new Uptown Dairy in Ankeny today. I knew the ice cream would be excellent because they serve Cedar Crest, which we enjoyed twice during our recent Wisconsin vacation. They have indoor seating and plenty of bike racks outside, but no outdoor seating.
I love the location along the High Trestle Trail because my kids are more likely to agree to a long bike ride when there’s an ice cream stop on the trail. We also enjoyed walking around Uptown today, which is very pedestrian-friendly.
