Hillside Park in Ankeny is a pain to get to, but it's worth the trek because it has unique playgorund equipment. It reminds me a nicer, newer version of
Hawkeye Park (which has missing equipment). The park has a shelter with two picnic tables and a 1/4 mile paved loop trail.
