The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum in West Branch, Iowa is near Iowa City. Herbert Hoover was the 31st President of the United States (and Iowa's only President) from 1929-1933. For every president since Herbert Hoover, presidential libraries have been established in each president's home state.
The museum is open daily except on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day. Admission is $10 for adults and $3 for children (ages 6-15). My boys were a little bored but I think the museum is great for school age kids and I plan to take them again. They enjoyed the outdoor historic site more, which is walking distance from the museum.
