Union Park in Des Moines has a lot to offer in the summer - a new rocket slide, a playground (new in 2021), a splash pool, and a carousel.
Rides on the Heritage Carousel are just 50 cents for kids and $1.00 for adults. In the summer, the carousel is open from 11 am - 7 pm every day except Mondays.
The splash pool is open 10 am - 7 pm on weekdays and 12 pm - 6 pm on weekends from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
