Treehouse Village at Iowa Arboretum - Madrid, Iowa

The new Treehouse Village at Iowa Arboretum is well worth the drive.  Today was a no school day for my boys, which gave us the opportunity to check it out on a weekday since they close at 4 pm each day.  The Treehouse Village is open from mid-March to mid-November.

Iowa Arboretum is part of the Reciprocal Garden Network, so we received free admission with our Reiman Gardens membership.  The Des Moines Botanical Garden is another reciprocal membership option.

There are a couple logistical things to be aware of when visiting.  There are two parking lots, one on each side of Peach Avenue with a short walk in-between.  When you first arrive, you'll need to head to the Hughes Education Center on the west side of the road to pay for admission.  You'll then receive a QR code which opens the gate at the entrance to the Treehouse Village on the east side of the road.
