Walnut Creek Regional Park in Urbandale has a new playground on the north side of the park near the large shelter. There's also an older playground on the south side of the park. The new playground has the same carousel swing that my boys loved at Ashby Park (before it was removed), so that was definitely a favorite during our visit today.
We saw a lot of families out walking during today's warmer January weather. This park map is helpful in showing the paved trails that exist within the park.
