We visited the
Ames History Museum today. It's small, but worth checking out. My husband and I were more interested in it than my kids, but they do have a kid-friendly area in the permanent exhibits gallery and one kid really enjoyed making quilt block patterns in the temporary exhibit area.
The museum recently expanded into the Pantorium building, which still includes the unique neon sign. Don't overlook the
Lego replica of the Pantorium in the lobby. My son loved seeing the rotating garment carousel.
