- Northcreek Park - good for young kids, can be crowded
- Summerbrook Park - no parking lot, top of hill is near a busy road
CLIVE
- Campbell Recreation Area - long, fast runs
- Country Club Glen Park
- Mercy West Clinic - steep hill
DES MOINES
- Blank Golf Course
- Capitol Hill - 1111 East Court Ave, fast hill
- Ewing Park / Ashley Okland Playground - great for young kids, portable restroom
- Fairmont Park
- Grandview Golf Course - check Facebook Page for updates, minimum of 4 inches of snow
- Greenwood Park
- Perkins Elementary School
- MacRae Park
- Union Park
- Waveland Golf Course - check Facebook Page for updates, minimum of 4 inches of snow
GRANGER
- Jester Park Lodge - not available when there are events at the Lodge (posted on the Polk County Conservation Facebook page)
JOHNSTON
- Beaver Creek Elementary School - great for young kids, very small hill, park along Lyndhurst Dr
- Johnston Public Library - hill between the library and Simpson Barn
- Lakeview Recreation Area - very long, very fast hill, check Facebook Page for updates
- Pointe Vista Park - great for young kids, can be crowded
PLEASANT HILL
- Doanes Park
URBANDALE
- Winter Park - minimum of 4 inches of snow, restrooms available in Metro Sports Facility
WAUKEE
- Centennial Park
- Warrior Park - parking is just east of the cemetery, drive in from 6th Street/Ute Avenue.
WEST DES MOINES
- Jordan Creek Elementary - busy on weekends
